TesTex has enhanced ultrasonic (UT) inspection for many different applications, including tank shells, UT prove-ups, finned tubes and waterwalls. Other tubes can be inspected with our IRIS Helix-XT system.
Our Viper Crawlers were created to accommodate various inspection challenges, including ultrasound, and can be used for both UT and UT/LFET tank shell inspection. No scaffolding is required; the Viper can scan both horizontally and vertically; it can inspect 100 feet (30.5m) without moving station, and UT inspection provides instant thickness readings.
UT measurements can be read with our TA-2000 handheld unit.
